I was raised in the small French West African country of Togo. As a young adult, I traveled throughout Togo and the neighboring countries of Burkina Faso, Ghana, Benin, and Ivory Coast, learning about local customs and craft work. Coming to the US in early 2002 I often traveled back to Africa making new relationships with local artisans and brought back unique pieces for myself and friends. As the interest in African art grew, along with the number of requests, I decided to open West African Treasures to the public; and now invites you to view, select, and own some of Africa's unique arts and crafts.
