I work with talented men and women artisans from Togo Ghana, Benin, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Niger and Mali in in the West, and others such as Gabon, Cameroon Kenya, and Tanzania, who are paid a fair wage to handcraft their amazing arts, crafts and clothing
The United Nation defines Western Africa as the 16 countries of Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo, as well as the United Kingdom Overseas Territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha

On February 27th 2021, we received a message translated by our coordinator in Bolgatanga indicating that the weavers were grateful to West Africa Treasures for giving them the opportunity to work. They were able to buy books and other study material for their children.
