I was raised in the small French West African country of Togo. As a young adult, I traveled through Togo and the neighboring countries of Burkina Faso, Ghana, Benin, and Ivory Coast, learning about local customs and craft work.
Coming to the US in early 2002 I often traveled back to Africa making a new relationship with local artisans and brought back unique pieces for myself and friends.
As the interest in African art grew along with the number of requests, I decided to open the West African Treasures to the public; and now invites you to view, select, and own some of the African unique arts and crafts.
